"K." 20 Regiment of U.S.C.T Volunteers, to serve ~~two~~ years, or during the war. On the Muster ^Dec. 1 Roll of Co. K of that Regiment, for the months of ~~[d??ed]~~ New Orleans [La?] Oct 4th 1865, he is reported present and mustered out with Co.- with the ~~[?]~~ "t Discharge given Oct 7, 1865 with ~~[new?] [?]~~ payment without ~~[withdrawing?]~~ to State. [A?] letter you viewed at this office, Dec 26, 1866, from [Normin R. Martin?] late Capet of Co. "K" 20th U.S.C.T. ~~[?]~~ the Duchary [~~Califialu~~?] of a number of [~~contiel~~??] men of his Co. ~~each~~ died while ~~[on travel?]~~ from New Orleans La. to New York- Official copy of letter ~~will~~ [?] Capt.
