I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt from your Office of application for Pension No. 161.1165, and to return it herewith, with such information as is furnished by the files of this Office.
It appears from the Rolls on file in this Office, that Richard Oliver was enrolled on the 30 day of Dec., 1863, at 13th [??4] N.Y. in Co. "K," 20 Regiment of U.S.C.T. Volunteers, to serve three years, or during the war, and mustered into service as a Private on the 4 day of Feby 1864, at [Rick?? ?ela?] NY. st. in Co. "K." 20th Regiment of U.S.C.T Volunteers, to serve three years, or during the war. On the Muster ^Dec. 1 Roll of Co. K of that Regiment, for the months of dated, New Orleans La, Oct 4th, 1865, he is reported present and mustered out with Co.- with the rimark [sic] "+ Discharge given Oct 7, 1865 with view to payment without returning to State."
