within and for said County personally appeared who being by we duly sworn deposes and says that the was Captain [died?] too. K 20th [illegible] during the late war that he well knew Richard Oliver. Who was a Private in Co. K of the 20th Regiment of [U.S.C.?] troops.
That ^while in the service and in the line [of???] duty as a soldier on board of on his way from New Orleans to New York City, K [began?] Discharged he died of fever contracted while in the said service.
Deponent [feer?t??] swears that he is [i??ere??ed] in any claim of any heirs of said deceased soldier for County back pay or Pension.
